RooCards guide

How to store loyalty cards on iPhone with RooCards

Add the loyalty, store, rewards, and membership cards you already use to RooCards. Scan the barcode or QR code, import a saved screenshot, or enter the card details manually, then check the saved code before you need it.

Quick answer

Save the loyalty, store, rewards, or membership cards you already use in RooCards. Add a card by scanning its barcode or QR code, importing a saved screenshot, or entering the details manually. A saved code does not automatically become an Apple Wallet pass.

Add an existing card

Scan its barcode or QR code, import a saved screenshot, or enter the details manually before you rely on it.

Find or show a saved card

Give the card a clear name, find it in the RooCards library, and open the saved code before you need to show it.

Use Apple Wallet only when eligible

Check the in-app format and eligibility notice, test the pass, and keep the original RooCards card available as a fallback.

  • Add an existing card by barcode, QR code, screenshot, or manual details, then check the code before relying on it.
  • Use a recognisable card name so you can search the library and choose the right card quickly.
  • Open the saved barcode or QR code before checkout or check-in so you can confirm that it is ready to show.

Start with the cards you use most often, name them clearly, and keep the important ones easy to open.

Build an existing-card library first

Start with the cards you show every week and give each one a clear store or programme name. RooCards keeps the card and its code together; it does not replace the retailer or programme account.

Choose the fastest way to reach that card

Use a Widget for a familiar, repeat-use card, or Spotlight when you remember the card name or saved label. These are different ways to open a card from the same RooCards library.

Treat Apple Wallet as an eligible-card path

A saved barcode or QR code is not automatically an Apple Wallet pass. Check the in-app eligibility and format notice, test the pass, and keep the original RooCards card available as the fallback.

Choose an iPhone access path after the library is ready

  • Use the card library when you need to browse, add, organise, or check a code.
  • Use a Widget when a familiar card needs to be easy to open again and again.
  • Use Spotlight for a saved name, and use Apple Wallet only when its eligibility path is confirmed.
