Auto Ducking Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

Auto Ducking adjusts your Mac’s system volume based on microphone activity. It never records, transcribes, or uploads microphone audio.

§01

Microphone activity

Auto Ducking checks whether the microphone is in use and which app is using it, so it can lower and restore the system volume automatically. It never records audio, transcribes speech, or uploads microphone audio.

§02

Local app data

Settings, presets, app rules, per-output volume levels, shortcuts, and usage statistics are stored locally on your Mac.

§03

Usage insights

Usage statistics show how often Auto Ducking lowered the volume for you. They stay on your Mac and can be reset at any time. They record timing and volume changes, never recordings or transcripts.

§04

Crash reports

When the app crashes, Auto Ducking can send an anonymous crash report through Firebase Crashlytics (Google) so the problem can be fixed. A report contains technical details such as the error trace, app version, macOS version, Mac model, and a random installation identifier. It contains no audio or personal content and is not linked to you. Crash reports are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time with the Crash Reports switch in Settings > General.

§05

Purchases

Auto Ducking includes a Lifetime Unlock in-app purchase handled through App Store purchase APIs and RevenueCat. Purchase systems may process purchase status, entitlement state, and related store identifiers needed to complete and restore purchases.

§06

No tracking

Auto Ducking does not use advertising or tracking. Its privacy manifest declares crash data, diagnostic data, and an installation identifier, used only to keep the app working, not linked to you and never used for tracking.

§07

Support contact

If you contact support, MarcX Studio receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, device details, macOS version, app version, and issue description.
